Kookie for cookie butter …
20 FebToday’s guest post is from Sheila:
You already know about peanut butter, almond butter, apple butter, even pumpkin seed and pistachio butter. But leave it to Trader Joe’s to blaze the frontier of buttery spreads with Speculoos Crunchy Cookie Butter [ed. note: a follow up to the crunchless Speculoos Cookie Butter].
It’s made with crushed biscuits and tastes like gingerbread. Use TJ’s cookie butter on waffles, pancakes, ice cream and as a dip for celery and pretzels … or for you serious cookie monsters, eat it straight from the jar!
Thanks, TJ’s.
Thank you, Sheila!

11 FebLast week the kitty roared.
On Feb. 6, Hasbro announced that it’s switched the Monopoly game’s iron token for a cat.
And now, walking through Trader Joe’s, I find not one, but three kitty cookie varietal options:
Coincidence?
Very clever, Trader Joe’s.
NOTE: No kitties were harmed in the making of these cookies (to my knowledge).

Buttery Little Tea Cookies from Trader Joe’s
23 JanThis was a nice discovery this week, thanks to Sharon.
We were a group of four packing snacks for our day-long U.S. Inauguration experience. I had the Mini Edamame Crackers and Pretzel Slims. Then Sharon announced, “Have you had these cookies? They are SO good!”
On her advice, I put a few in a baggie, and we were off.
Standing for hours and hours in the cold, amid an adrenaline-filled crowd, I didn’t feel very hungry. But around 1 p.m. I thought a little nibble was in order. I had a few crackers, but wanted to pace myself. Then I tried the cookies. They ARE so good!
When the festivities were over about 6:15 p.m., the little bag of cookies was empty.
Thank you, Sharon!
