If you’ve been following along, you’ll know how much I love smoked anything.
It was at a weak moment that I passed the neatly stacked tins of smoked trout. They were right there with my other smoky fish favorite, oysters. But the trout caught my eye and wormed its way into my cart.
I got curious. Generally, I steer away from the smoked oysters because I’m afraid that they’re higher in calorie and fat content than I’m willing to spend on a snack. But is the smoked trout any better?
Well. Ouch. From the Fatsecret website of nutritional information, oysters weigh in with much less fat and fewer calories than the canned trout I consumed in two separate and satisfying sittings. #goodtoknow #tasty #sigh
